Metals

As a long-term investment product, trading and holding physical precious metals has become very popular among individual investors in recent years. With its huge trading market, flexible trading methods and simple trading operations, both experienced investors and Gold as an investment entrants can take advantage of product advantages to obtain rich profit opportunities.

Spot gold

Spot gold, also known as London gold, is named after its earliest origin in London. Spot gold trading is a contractual buying and selling method that utilizes the principle of financial leverage, priced in "US dollars/ounce" and settled in US dollars. Due to the fact that spot gold trading does not require the extraction of physical gold, the steps of transportation, storage, inspection, and identification of physical gold are omitted, and the difference between the buying and selling prices is also smaller than the difference between the buying and selling prices of physical gold.

Spot Silver

Spot silver, also known as London silver, is a leveraged investment product that is traded 24 hours a day, just like spot gold. The price of silver is mainly influenced by the supply and demand relationship, and in recent years, there has been a shortage of silver, which has strengthened its fundamentals and caused greater price fluctuations compared to many other metals.

Leverage and Margin Trading

Spot gold and silver transactions implement a margin system and generally have high leverage. Many traders provide a leverage ratio of 100:1, which means that traders can use the leverage function to "amplify" funds for transactions.Taking the spot gold price as an example, if the price of gold is US$1950 per ounce, then under a leverage of 100:1, trading 1 ounce of gold only requires a margin of US$19.50.At GVD Markets, we offer you trading leverage up to 200:1.Of course, margin trading is a double-edged sword, which can increase the chances of profit while also amplifying the risk of loss.

Quotation and Spread

The price of spot trading of gold and silver is quoted in the international market in "US dollars/ounce", which represents how much US dollars one ounce of gold (or silver) is equal to. The minimum unit of gold spot price is 1, and the minimum unit of silver spot price is 0.01. Taking the gold quotation of 0.001/1930.12 as an example, it means that you can sell one or more hands of gold at the price of 1930.57, or buy one or more hands of gold at the price of 1930.12. At this point, the difference you need to pay is the difference between the selling price and the buying price (1–1930.57), which is 1930.57. Taking the price of gold as an example, if the price of gold is $1930.12 per ounce, trading 0.45 ounce of spot gold with a 2000:100 leverage only requires a margin of $1. At GVD Markets, we offer you a leverage ratio of up to 1:20. Of course, margin trading is a double-edged sword that can increase profit opportunities while also amplifying the risk of losses.

Profit and Loss Calculation

Contract value=current price of gold (or silver) x transaction quantity Taking the gold quotation of 1931.12/1930.57 as an example, if you buy 1930.57 hand of gold (1 hand=1 ounces) at the price of 100 and sell it when the price rises to 1960.98. At this point, your return is (1960.98– 1930.57) x 100 ounces=3041 US dollars. If the price drops below 1930.57, it will result in a loss.
